The Culture Department of the City of Stockholm - Customer Case

The Culture Department of the City of Stockholm creates opportunities for the city’s residents and visitors to participate in or create culture.

The Culture department is responsible for cultural institutions such as Liljevalchs konsthall (art gallery), Medeltidsmuseet (Medieval Museum), Stadsmuseet (the City Museum), as well as Kulturskolan Stockholm (Cultural School Stockholm) and Stockholm City Library. The administration also organizes events such as Kulturnatt Stockholm (Culture Night Stockholm) and Stockholm Cultural Festival.

With so many public activities, the culture department has a large number of social media accounts and websites containing valuable information. Maria Högwall, records manager and archivist, started using Arkiwera in 2020 to save social media posts along with associated comments and reactions. Before this, archiving digital media was a rather time consuming task and it took her numerous workdays to make screenshots of the posts from each account.
